Mentor to Students and Tutors
Mr Kwok holds a Masters in Engineering and a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering. He is also WSQ DACE (now superseded by DDDLP) and ACTA (now superseded by ACLP) certified.
Being the Principal Tutor at iMatter Learning Centre, he personally mentors his students in the subjects of English, Science (Primary, Lower Secondary), Biology, Chemistry (Secondary, JC) and Physics. He also serves as a mentor to other tutors in pedagogy and student management.
Additionally, he teaches as an Adjunct Lecturer in:
- Singapore Polytechnic: Both School of Chemical & Life Sciences and School of Life Skills & Communciations
- Nanyang Polytechnic: School of Applied Science
Teaching Experience
Mr Kwok brings to the table more than a decade of teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer in Singapore Polytechnic. His students come from diverse levels and backgrounds – primary, secondary, JC & diploma students, undergraduates, adult learners, MOE teachers & industry.
His expertise and experience lie in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Life Skills & Communications while he has a special interest in the area of water. His work in water resulted in publishing the book “Your first guide to water quality monitoring in Singapore” in collaboration with PUB and FairPrice.
Mr Kwok has led students in research projects, cocurricular events and field trips in the belief that learning is more than theory and should blend in application and experiential work. He sincerely hopes to prepare his students for the world so that they can live up to their potential and contribute to society.
