Outdoor learning has huge benefits for students and teachers and should be done more… The outdoor environment encourages skills such as problem-solving and negotiating risk which are important for child development.

This programme is suitable for students in or going into Primary School Levels 4-6.

NOTE: Unlike our regular tuition classes, this programme can cater to more than 6 participants as it involves team work and group learning.

Programme Outline

In this programme, we will introduce the participant to the importance of biodiversity in the environment and how a biodiversity survey can be carried out. We will cover the following:

  • What is biodiversity
  • Relationship between biodiversity and the health of the environment
  • The fascinating organisms inhabiting our natural habitats

At the end of this workshop, each student is able to:

  1. Appreciate the significance of biodiversity to the health of the environment
  2. Identify some common organisms found in a selected natural habitat
  3. Perform a biodiversity survey of a natural habitat
