A tutor should:
- Be dedicated and professional
- Be patient and passionate in teaching
- Shows genuine concern for the student
- Be flexible and adaptable enough to adopt the best teaching approach
- Never ever dismiss a question from any student as stupid
- Have subject matter expertise
This is a promise we take seriously. If for some reason, you find that our tutor does not live up to the above requirements, do let us know and remedial action will be taken if necessary.
Commitment
We value commitment from our tutors as much as the above qualities. They have an obligation to their students and it will be unfair and disruptive to the students if they leave before an academic year is up.
Hence, we constantly remind our tutors about their obligations right from the start when they join us. Nevertheless, we recognise that they have their commitments outside as well so they are free to leave at the end of an academic year if they wish.
